About New Jersey Golf News
New Jersey Golf News, a subsidiary of Golfer’s Tee Times Media Group, is the online website for, Golfer’s Tee Times, providing coverage of everything GOLF in New Jersey, and a little about some golf in our neighboring states (New York and Pennsylvania).
Golfer’s Tee Times has been providing GOLF NEWS to New Jersey since 1991. Started as a small regional newspaper, by former Little Egg Harbor native, Bill Probst, the newspaper was purchased in 2007 by Golfer’s Tee Times Media Group, and has expanded to provide statewide coverage, as well as on the internet.
Neither New Jersey Golf News nor Golfer’s Tee Times Media Group is affiliated with any professional or amateur golf association. We aim to provide diverse and objective golf news to all our readers.
New Jersey Golf News also consists of a Twitter with the handle, @NJGolfNews, and @GolfinNYC.
The newspaper is printed three times (Spring, mid-Summer, Fall/Winter) per calendar year. Copies of recent issues will be available online and are distributed to over 350 golf coures and other establishments in NJ, PA and NY.

Marian Castner – Publisher/Editor in Chef – Golfer’s Tee Times Media Group
After a long career in the financial world, Marian Castner switched directions and now is the editor-in-chief and publisher of Golfers Tee Times, NJ Golf News, and Passport To NJ Golf. She occasionally is a freelance writer for several golf magazines and newspapers, and several websites, including Golf In NYC. She is also working on some independent writing and business projects.
Marian has worked for many years in the golf industry – teaching golf and working at both private and public golf courses in the NY area. She gained a strong background in golf event planning while working as the Outing Director at Van Cortlandt Golf Course in the Bronx in the late 1990s. She has done part-time work for several years in the promotional products and travel businesses.
She credits her high school English teacher, best-selling author Frank McCourt with her writing style and her husband, Bill, for sharing with her his passion and knowledge of the game of golf.
Marian has worked extensively with businesses and individuals in planning a corporate golf event, working on the details of a golf school outside of the NJ area, or work withing clients to promote their businesses through golf.
Marian is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania.

Sean is a graduate of Pinelands Regional High School in Little Egg Harbor where he was a 4-time golf team Most Valuable Player from 1987 to 1990. An All-County and All-Shore Conference golfer, Sean was the Bloomsburg University Golf Club Match Secretary before becoming an assistant coach with his alma mater, Pinelands, while earning a post graduate degree at Stockton University. Fawcett coached full-time with Pinelands from 1995 to 2007, helping the Wildcats win 9 championships, including an Ocean County Tournament title in 2000. From 2017 to 2019, Sean assisted Ocean County College head coach Rich Wortman. He is currently the Head Coach of the Men’s Golf Team at Ocean County Golf Club and works at several golf courses and learning centers in southern New Jersey.
